ਦਰ ਦਰਵੇਸੀ ਗਾਖੜੀ
ਚਲਾਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਤਿ ॥
ਬੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਉਠਾਈ ਪੋਟਲੀ
ਕਿਥੈ ਵੰਞਾ ਘਤਿ ॥

Fareed, it is so difficult to become a humble Saint at the Lord's Door. I am so accustomed to walking in the ways of the world. I have tied and picked up the bundle; where can I go to throw it away?
