Naanak saawan jay wasai chonh umaha ho-ay Naagan mirgaan machhhee-aan rasee-aan ghar dhan ho-ay Naanak saawan jay wasai chonh vaychhorhha ho-ay Gaa-ee putaa nirdhanaa panthee chaakar ho-ay

English Translation

O Nanak, when it rains in the month of saawan, four are delighted; the deer, the fish and the wealthy people who seek pleasure. O Naanak, when it rains in the month of Saawan, four suffer the pains of separation; the cow's calves, the poor, the travelers and the servants. (Translation: S. S. Khalsa)
