Munir Niazi
Munir Niazi was a poet and writer who wrote in both Urdu and Punjabi. He was born in Hoshiarpur, British India in 1923, and later moved to Pakistan after the partition of India in 1947. Niazi is known for his poetry that celebrates the cultural and historical heritage of the Punjab region, and his work often explores themes of love, hope, and life. He received several awards for his poetry, including the Pride of Performance award from the Government of Pakistan in 1984. Niazi passed away in 2006.
