Let me state at the outset that this is one of Bulleh Shah’s difficult poems. Let us, nevertheless, try to understand. The literal translation of the title would be: “My lover is now someone else.” But what does Bulleh Shah mean by that? It could be about the transition from mundane to the divine love (which, in my opinion, revolves around the totality of being, others human beings included). If you have an explanation, please do tell us in the comments.
