Ishq faqeeran da qayem dayem

Ishq faqeeran da qayem dayem, kabho na theewe bahea
Ni tainu rabb bhulli dua faqeeran di eha
Rabb na bhulli hor sabh kujh bhulli rabb na bhullan jeha
Sona rupa, sabh chal waisi, ishq na lagda leha
Hona naal hassdi khadandi, shoh naal ghunghat keha

Chare nain gadawad hoye, wich wichola keha

Ishq chaubare paeo jhati, hun tainu gham keha
Aye di sonh babal di, sonh gal changerri eha
Jis joban da toon maan karendi, so jal bhal theesi kheha
Kahe Hussain Faqir saaien da, marna taan maana keha

English Translation

Don't ever forget God, O Woman, that's the prayer of mendicants
You may forget all, but God is not worth forgetting
Gold and beauty-short living. Love never decays
You laugh and play with the rest then why act so formal with the lover? Two pairs of eyes met and acquiesced then what's the need of a go-between? Love settled in your courtyard, how could you have any worry?
I swear by my mother, I swear by my father:
Love, the best devotion. The youth you're so proud of will be reduced to ashes. Says Hussein, the Master's fakir, if you accept your mortality then why the pride?
