Surjit Patar

Surjit Patar is a renowned contemporary Punjabi poet. He is known for his immense contribution to Punjabi language as a poet, writer and translator. Dr surjit patar belongs to Pattar kallan, a village in District Jalandhar. He started his journey as a poet in 1960’s. He is the recipient of Sahitya Academy Award and Padam Shri.
