Kareem Bakhsh – 1870

Mian Kareem Bakhsh was a prolific writer and poet of Punjabi language from Lahore. The twin cities of Lahore and Amritsar had known him for Punjabi riddles, the competitions of which were held at that time. He was a woodman by a profession from which he earned his livelihood till his death at the age of 70. He wrote many folktales in poetic verse. We have added one of his famous folktale Dhol Sammi on Folk Punjab.
