Sain Akhtar Lahori

Kangali tehsil Pasroor is the ancestral village of Sain Akhtar Lahori but he spent his life in Lahore and identified himself as Lahori. Being a disciple of Ustad Daman, his life and poetry both remained under the influence of Ustad Daman, something that he proudly acknowledges. He is the people's poet who talks about the masses and their problems with a profound depiction of the tradition of both rural and urban Punjab.
