Paal Singh Arif belong to Padhari, a village in Amritsar. He is also known as a mystic and he spent all his life in the company of pious men from irrespective of their religious associations. His poetry is also related to mystic tradition of Punjabi literature. He has published almost three dozen books in his lifetime.
